A Beauti'fall' Day!
I honestly did not stage these pictures----he is just that cute!
I was working outside and letting Deacon play in the grass. I watched him observe each leaf, inspecting it for edibility, and I just knew I had to run for the camera!
The weather is one thing I truly love about Utah. I had heard of these so called "Four Seasons" but I had always thought it was just a hotel chain....
Halloween Party
Nathan and I hosted a table for our ward's Halloween Party. Each table has it's own theme, 4-5 couples are assigned to each table; then everyone at that table dresses up and brings food to match the theme. We know not everyone is WSU fans, so we made it a "Tailgate Party" theme and everyone could support their own team. Notice the tailgate to the left (holding the food), that is actually from Nathan's truck! In the bottom right, we painted astroturf to look like a football field. Add some hotwings and we're good to go!
Children weren't allowed at the ward halloween party (weird, right?), so that night Deacon had is first "official" babysitter. We still dressed him up in Weber gear--thanks to Monica for the awesome purple outfit. Now if only WSU's football program were worthy of its supporters...:) I think he was laughing at me in this pic because I was wearing a purple wig and black stripes under my eyes.

September Summation
September Summation
It's only September, yet starting to cool,
Time for Nathan to go back to school.
Aubrey's at work, three days a week.
Our son learned to crawl, ''Way to go, Deac!''
We were set to move on Saturday the eighth,
We found that moving requires great faith.
We sold our home in less than three days,
But said, "Cross our fingers until the bank pays."
They finally did on September twenty,
Finally--our fingers were sure bruised plenty.
We were just settling in---a bit over a week,
When the Bishop dropped by and asked us to speak!
Nathan on preparedness, both in physical and spirit,
He had a great story, you should call him to hear it!
'Blessings of Conference' was Aubrey's topic,
The big crowd made her wish that she was myopic.
Our month flew by, I'm sure yours did too!
Drop us a line, "What did you do?"

First Attempt at Blogging
Wow! So far putting this blog together seems too easy. You can hardly tell I have not had a home computer for 4 1/2 years! Thanks Miken for encouraging me to do this. Now I have one less excuse for not keeping an electronic journal of our lives. Now if you could just solve the other "little" excuses like: work, a 5 month old, school, moving, mowing the lawn, church, and well, 'life' in general. Other than that, no excuses.
So this picture has nothing to do with my post, but isn't it adorable? Elton John, eat your heart out.
