September Summation

Can you believe Nathan tried to take Deacon in public wearing this outfit?! Stained navy blue striped socks, a onesie with puppy dogs on it, and camouflaged pants with remnants of lunch on the front. I had to take a picture because it will never happen again!

September Summation
It's only September, yet starting to cool,
Time for Nathan to go back to school.
Aubrey's at work, three days a week.
Our son learned to crawl, ''Way to go, Deac!''
We were set to move on Saturday the eighth,
We found that moving requires great faith.
We sold our home in less than three days,
But said, "Cross our fingers until the bank pays."
They finally did on September twenty,
Finally--our fingers were sure bruised plenty.
We were just settling in---a bit over a week,
When the Bishop dropped by and asked us to speak!
Nathan on preparedness, both in physical and spirit,
He had a great story, you should call him to hear it!
'Blessings of Conference' was Aubrey's topic,
The big crowd made her wish that she was myopic.
Our month flew by, I'm sure yours did too!
Drop us a line, "What did you do?"

First Attempt at Blogging

Wow! So far putting this blog together seems too easy. You can hardly tell I have not had a home computer for 4 1/2 years! Thanks Miken for encouraging me to do this. Now I have one less excuse for not keeping an electronic journal of our lives. Now if you could just solve the other "little" excuses like: work, a 5 month old, school, moving, mowing the lawn, church, and well, 'life' in general. Other than that, no excuses.

So this picture has nothing to do with my post, but isn't it adorable? Elton John, eat your heart out.

No More Braces!

Nathan got his braces off this month and his teeth are looking great! It took about 8 months longer than the Dr. Pobanz originally thought, but it didn't cost anymore, so that's fine with us. Thank goodness for insurance!

Every time he had an adjustment he would grumble because of the pain and blame it on me for "forcing" him to get braces Ü But now that it's finished, he is really happy with the final result. He thought not having a gap would "change" him, but he is still the same Nate.

First Day at Church!

Today was Deacon's first day at church.

He wore his blue outfit from Grandma Holyoak and he looked like such a doll!

He pretty much slept the entire time Ü
